What to Expect
Education Hour
Our classes meet at 9:00 am. Children’s classes are held downstairs and the adult class meets in the sanctuary. We dismiss at 10:00 which gives everyone time to fellowship before the worship service.
Worship Service
We have a Sunday morning attendance of around 50 people. Dress is casual. You can find anything from jeans and a T-shirt to a suit and a tie. Children of all ages are encouraged to join the worship service. A nursery/cry room at the back of the sanctuary is also available.
We begin at 10:30 am. During this time, we worship God through song, prayer, reading and hearing Scripture, and through our gifts and offerings.
Music
The music we sing is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns available to us from all time periods. We prefer congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice.
Sermons
The preaching is primarily expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular biblical passage. All preaching is driven by the gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Ordinances
The first Sunday every month we celebrate the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper at the conclusion of our service. In partaking of the bread and the cup, we remember how our Lord gave his body and blood for our salvation, and has united us together into one Body. As we have opportunity, we also celebrate the ordinance of Baptism. Upon their profession of faith, we are able to observe this wonderful picture of a Christian’s union with Christ, as we are buried with him in death, but raised with him to newness of life.
Stay and get to know us
After the service, we hope you will give us a chance to get to know you. Our members enjoy staying to talk to visitors and catching up with each other, so feel free to introduce yourself to someone around you. We have monthly potlucks which any visitor is welcome to attend.
Sunday Evening
The first and third Sunday evenings of the month are set aside for hospitality in each other’s homes as we focus on fellowship and outreach. On the the fourth Sunday evenings of the month, our service starts at 6:30 pm for a time of equipping in God’s word for evangelism and discipleship.
Wednesday Night Prayer
Our Wednesday night prayer meeting is a time to reflect on a passage of scripture followed by focused prayer time with one another.
